Nvidia CEO points out Huawei and its AI progress

Huawei has conquered every market it is engaged in! That’s not us saying this but the CEO of Nvidia Corporation, shedding light on the AI progress of Huawei. He said the Ascend chipmaker is becoming a strong opponent in every aspect.
Jensen Huang – the CEO of Nvidia had an interview with the Financial Times on Wednesday. During the talk, the executive said that Huawei is constantly growing in the AI industry. It is making its presence stronger in AI, every single year.
Nvidia CEO added that Huawei progress in AI hints that it will soon become a significant competitor for many AI tech vendors. The company was chained in the U.S. trade restrictions, yet it managed to grow in every field from, software to chips.
Back in 2019…
Huawei and its allies are considered a major threat to US national security. Therefore, the authorities sanctioned the company and its partners in 2019. Over time, the US continued to lock routes that could help the Chinese firm access advanced techs.
Meanwhile, Huawei didn’t give up and continued to join hands with native partners to seek new ways of success. And we are well aware of the results. Despite growing challenges, the company is managing its operations, which is no less than a surprise.
Noting these situations, Hunag said US sanctions have loopholes that are allowing companies like Huawei to tackle every situation. The authorities’ attempts to stifle Huawei have been done poorly. As a result, the company has conquered every market it is involved in.
Huawei is now ready to increase the production of its AI chips this year. The company will likely build 100,000 910C and 300,000 910B AI processors in 2025.
The company is also testing China-made EUV chipmaking equipment. If the results are accurate, the machine will go into mass production by the next year.
