Pura X shows that Huawei is still innovating despite challenges

Pura X is the new member of the Huawei foldable family which hints that the company is growing innovatively regardless of challenges. Whether it’s the design or performance, the latest vertical foldable is seemingly an inspiration for other brands.
Huawei has been banned from the Android world in 2019. Unlike others, the Chinese company can not benefit from the US high-end technologies and products.
Despite these challenges, Huawei continued to grow in every field including smartphones, tablets, PCs, software, and crafting ultimate creations like the Pura X.
Even though Huawei phones lack GMS and Android, they are still gaining attention worldwide. Reason – the innovative appearance and in-house technologies.
Huawei is feeding its devices with the native HarmonyOS system instead of Android OS. Another important component is the self-developed Kirin 5G chips. While Huawei has not confirmed, tipsters say the Pura X foldable runs on Kirn 9020.
On the flip side, Pura X shows innovation at its peak. It is a stylish challenger to flip and fold models present in the market. The device steals the show with a 16:10 wider screen, which is a masterpiece in the world of traditional flip smartphones.
Design & Features
The 3.5-inch cover screen is larger than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and claims to offer various abilities. Huawei has even integrated a small speaker near the squarish screen so you can pick up calls without even opening the device.
It’s a pretty unique handset with really unexpected features and form factor. Of course, it is a foldable smartphone but looks more like a mini folding tablet. One can use the device in both portrait and landscape mode, suggesting that Pura X can beat both flip and fold models in the market.

A bigger screen ensures better content viewing, like watching videos, reading e-books, and more. But phones like Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold come with a smaller screen to maintain the ‘thinnest’ aspect.
Simply, put these phones don’t show the content properly on the display. Also, users can’t use apps in portrait mode as it shows ugly patches on the vacant side.
Apart from the design, Pura X has HarmonyOS 5 and Harmony Intelligence as major highlights. These additions unlock impressive AI features like eye-tracking movements that automatically turn the page based on your gaze on the screen.
Since the company can’t use the true Android operating system, it has made a self-developed OS that is powerful. It makes Pura X a tycoon in the folding phone market with blessings for typing, gaming, video watching, reading, and using apps easily.
That hints, Google and Samsung should take notes how Huawei is creating innovative folding phones like Mate XT tri-fold and Pura X amid ongoing chanllenges.
