Midea launched the first refrigerator with Huawei’s HarmonyOS system

Midea, a Chinese home appliance manufacturing company has recently launched one more new product, a smart refrigerator with the HarmonyOS software system. According to the information, this refrigerator is the world’s first to feature Huawei’s HarmonyOS.

The refrigerator not only offers the common refrigerator features but also provides much more than that. It comes with touch-based interaction and shows the freshness of the foods or veggies inside it. Also, it provides a large number of recipes, and also users can customize them according to the ingredients left in the refrigerator at that time.

Additionally, this smart refrigerator is equipped with a special feature – zero degree temperature space. This is very useful and helps to preserve food items including meat-based products by creating a special humidity-controlled space. On the other hand, fruits, and vegetables can also be stored for a long time to keep them fresh.

Specifications and pricing:

The HarmonyOS powered Midea refrigeration brings a total volume of 603 liters of which 382 liters are used by various compartments and 194 liters volume covered by the freezer. Additionally, it uses less energy to eliminate energy waste.

This product is available for purchase on Huawei Mall at 7999 yuan (1252 USD). At the moment, the company is providing a special discount price of 6,999 Yuan (1095 USD) for the refrigerator.

HarmonyOS:

HarmonyOS is Huawei’s self-developed operation system, which is mainly designed to provide seamless cross-device connection. It supports controlling multiple IoT devices through a super device.

Previously, Midea already revealed two smart products including a steaming and grilling oven and Air Conditioner powered by Huawei’s operating system, HarmonyOS.

Furthermore, Midea also stated that it will launch more products in all categories with the HarmonyOS system in the market soon.
