Installed November 2022 security update on your Huawei P30 device?

Last month, Huawei began to rollout November 2022 EMUI security update for the global units of P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. The rollout was announced in a gradual process.

Since the start of this rollout. Huawei has released a number of new firmware versions for Huawei smartphones. One such to mention is the Huawei P40 series, which is the first to grab the December 2022 EMUI security patch.

Although, the Huawei P30 series has not received December 2022 EMUI security but receiving November 2022 update is more than just enough. However, people have been reporting not receiving the update on the standard version.

Meanwhile, Huawei P30 Lite users are also getting November 2022 security patch. And it makes it a quite good combination to note the latest rollout.

Also, these types of updates are released in batches. Hence it may take some more time to expand for all of the Huawei P30 series users around the globe.

However, there are a lot of speculations and wait growing among consumers about the new EMUI 13. But Huawei remained silent on the rollout or its upgrade procedure. Still, people are looking forward to getting this new software onboard as soon as possible.

Amid these, Huawei P30 series users can download the latest software update via the firmware section > Settings > tap on System & updates and then Software updates. Make sure you backup important files before proceeding to grab a new version, just for safety purposes.

The new EMUI version is part of Huawei’s monthly smartphone software improvement program and Huawei P30 devices fall under the quarterly upgrade section.

After the launch, Huawei P30 phones have been upgraded with EMUI 10, 10.1, 11 and it currently, runs EMUI 12. The latest EMUI version has various features that are better than EMUI 11. However, it would be nice to see this phone running EMUI 13. We’ll have to wait to see that happen.
