According to the latest information, Huawei will launch its latest Watch D smartwatch with the Blood Pressure feature in December. This is quite an interesting input, as it’ll be the first of its kind smartwatch that will be launched by Huawei for the consumers.

A well-known Weibo tipster has brought us some fresh inputs on this matter that reveals Huawei is planning to launch a bunch of new products during the upcoming conference. These include the Huawei Watch D smartwatch, paper-like tablets, Bluetooth glasses, and other products that support blood pressure measurement technology.

Talking specifically, the blogger mentioned that the blood pressure version of Huawei Watch D meets the medical standards and has obtained the National Medical Products Administration Class II Medical Device Registration Certificate in China.

The tipster added that someone from his circle has experienced the testing version of this device ahead of the official release. This reveals that the smartwatch has high accuracy along with features such as reminders for blood pressure management.

Previously, He Gang, President of Handset Business, Huawei Consumer Business Group announced that the first Huawei smartwatch with Blood Pressure measurement capabilities and features has passed the medical device registration test.

The next step for Huawei is to conduct Clinical trials with professional institutes to get better insights into how accurate this smart wearable will going to work on users’ wrists. The watch could launch in the second half of 2021.

China’s Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration issued the “Publicity of the Results of the Priority Approval Application for the Second Class of Medical Devices (Issue 49)”.

Huawei Device Co., Ltd. wrist ECG blood pressure recorder, ECG analysis system, arrhythmia analysis system, wrist single-lead ECG collector, and other four medical device products entered the priority approval process. However, the details of these medical devices are still unknown.
