Huawei P40 Lite on EMUI 10.1 receiving new security improvements

Huawei is sending a new software update for the P40 Lite smartphone. This update mainly installs the security patch released in January 2021 that fixes different levels of exploits and issues for improved system security.

About phone:

Huawei P40 lite initially debuted with EMUI 10 and the device further received the EMUI 10.1 major update. However, this device is eligible to run on EMUI 11 but the official confirmation is still pending.

Last month, good news regarding this major update arrives for Nova 7i users, which is the same variant that of P40 Lite but launched with a different name in different regions. Huawei Egypt replies on this matter, Nova 7i will receive EMUI 11 around March 25, 2021.

From the above confirmation, it is expected that the Nova 7i and other similar models such as Nova 6 SE, P40 Lite, and P40 Lite 5G will get the EMUI 11 major upgrades. This is definitely good for these model users.

Apart from this, Huawei is continuously delivering security improvements for its devices that protect the device against threats and boost the overall system problem.

HOW TO CHECK UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings 
• Click on the System & Updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

• Open the Support app on your device
• Go to the Service tab
• Click on the update button
• Tap on Check for update option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Things to know:

• The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
• EMUI version and size may vary.
• Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.
