Huawei has started sending the latest HarmonyOS 2.0.0.221 software update for the Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone. According to the information, this update brings new functionalities for smart multi-window features for a better user experience.

Huawei Mate X2 HarmonyOS 2.0.0.221 update log reveals that the update added step by step small window and one step split-screen function as well as other functions, which are more convenient and makes tasks easier.

Also, Huawei Mate X2 users who want to upgrade to the new HM OS version and enjoy the improved smart multi-window feature need the base HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.211 or 2.0.0.218. Furthermore, you can check the latest update manually via visiting phone settings.

  • Smart multi-window: Added step-by-step small window and one-step split-screen function. When applying full screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to the upper right corner to open the floating window, and slide to the upper left corner to open the split-screen.

Update Note:

Huawei Mate X2 users should know some points before switching to the new version. Take a backup of your important to prevent data loss. However, this update doesn’t erase the data but it’s good to have a backup. Also, this update is rolling out in batches so, it may take some time to reach your device.

HOW TO INSTALL:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
