Huawei Mate X getting EMUI 11 second beta with new flash file transfer, bright screen motion and more

Huawei has begun sending the EMUI 11 second beta software update for Huawei Mate X. This update brings the newly added message chat feature, bright screen motion effect, and optimization for display.

It is Huawei’s first folding phone whose recruitment for EMUI 11 beta testing started on November 9. Last week, Huawei released the first EMUI 11 beta update for Mate X users, which offers the new EMUI 11 features.

Version: Huawei Mate X registered users receiving EMUI 11 beta version 11.0.0.122 updated from 11.0.0.115

  • Following the high-definition audio and video call, Chang Lian added a new message chat function, supporting sending an encrypted message, dynamic expressions, dragging and playing voice messages, and sending multiple pictures.
  • New large file flash transmission function and companions can transfer large files to each other without fear of size, distance transmission, new HD transmission image quality is not compressed and can also be interrupted to resume transmission.

System:

  • New bright screen motion effect in which the screen gradually lights up when the screen is turned on and adapt the time of the light source to make the bright screen experience more comfortable and harmonious.
  • Fixes the problem that some scene cannot enter the multitasking interface by sliding up from the bottom of the screen.

Display: 

  • Optimizes the display effect of the volume bar in some scenes

REMEMBER:

  1. This update is currently rolling out in China.
  2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  3. The update will not erase any data.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
