Huawei Mate 50 Pro Carbon Black Vegan Leather version with Kunlun Glass will launch soon in the global market. It’ll be the first time when Huawei will greet this phone in the market outside of China.

According to the information, Huawei Mate 50 Pro will soon launch an 8GB+256GB Kunlun glass version in Carbon Black version with a Vegan Leather rear finish. Along with that, Huawei will also greet, and debut the silver-colored Kunlun glass variant of Mate 50 Pro for Malaysian users.
We also want to clarify that Huawei Mate 50 Pro is already on sale with a regular black variant for global users. However, Carbon Black version is available only to a few markets including China.
Meanwhile, we’ll have to confirm whether Huawei will expand this variant to more countries.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro:
Huawei Mate 50 Pro features a 6.74-inch OLED display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 300 Hz touch sampling rate for a better touch screen user experience.
This flaghip is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G chipset with octa-core architecture (Octa-core, 1 × Cortex-X2 at 3.2 GHz + 3 × Cortex-A710 at 2.75 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz). There is Adreno GPU and 7th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine.
The rear camera system consists of a 50 MP Ultra Aperture Camera (F1.4 – F4.0 aperture, OIS), 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (F2.2 aperture), 64 MP Telephoto Camera (F3.5 aperture, OIS), and there’s also later sensor for improved bokeh shot.
The front camera has a 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (F2.4) + 3D Depth Sensing camera inside that wide notch system.
It’ll offer a 4700mAh capacity battery that could recharge with a 66W max charging speed and 50W wireless charging support.
It took 4 years to develop Huawei Kunlun glass
Huawei Mate 50 series is the first flagship to pack with Kunlun Glass, a new type of protected display that brings powerful durability and Huawei revealed that it took 4 years of research and development to make this come true.
China’s CCTV broadcasting has published a new documentary on Huawei, which reveals how Huawei forge Kunlun glass along with insights from Huawei Smartphone product Line vice president – Bruce Lee.
Huawei Mate 50 series with Kunlun Glass is unbreakable and Bruce Lee said that Kunlun Glass has been developed for 4 years. At this time, the company has gone through various challenges and made its way through them.
According to Lee, Kunlun Glass found inspiration from the hard and durable reinforced concrete structure. After 24 hours of crystal growth, 108 processes, and a 1600-degree melting process, a piece of mobile phone panel glass contains hundreds of billions of high-strength nanocrystals, which are impact-resistant.
The process also prevents cracking, so that the crash resistance of the whole machine equipped with Kunlun glass is increased by 10 times.
After the release of the Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei also opened an upgrade service for old Huawei smartphones. These eligible devices could upgrade with Kunlun display including the P50 series and P40 series.
The forefront of such technology has allowed Huawei to provide something that’s not even available on other smartphones. In Huawei’s lab test, it is found that the glass has been dropped on the floor flat on display but it has remained without any damage.
Although, you may not drop the phone on a daily basis but Huawei has made it more secure if you drop it accidentally.
Huawei will bring a surprise chipset this year: Tipster
2023 brought in new opportunities for Huawei and the tech make is preparing to bring in a surprise in the chipset category, suggesting a well-known Huawei tipster, which seems really exciting.
Classmateguan said that Huawei will work hard to forge ahead in 2023 and the company will craft technologies to resolve issues. However, the company could also bring some small surprises in the chipset, which remains confidential from Huawei.
The tipster hints that the surprise could drop in the second half of this year and it is likely to be a good sign for the Chinese semiconductor industry. To be mentioned, there’s no specific signal about Kirin or HiSilicon. But we can expect a large number of votes going in favor of Huawei SoC.
Chipset Manufacturing Equipment Ban:
According to a Bloomberg report, the U.S. has secured a deal with Netherlands and Japan to tighten access of chipset manufacturing technologies for China. This new move is designed to limit China’s ability to come up with a breakthrough in chip production technology.
Amid this situation, firms such as Huawei are an example of U.S. chip control restrictions and the extent that the U.S. has gone to control Chinese tech makers’ progress in the global telecom market.
Since 2019, the U.S. is continuously imposing restrictions on Huawei. Thereafter, Huawei lost access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) and the ability to print new Kirin chips via Taiwan’s TSMC.
The result of these actions caused a major drop in Huawei smartphone sales and the firm had to announce the ending of Kirin. Thus relying on Qualcomm is the sole option for the company and since 2021, Huawei is using Snapdragon semiconductors for all of its new devices.
It’s good to see what continues to rumble into the world of Huawei and we are eager to know what kind of chipset surprise the company has prepared for us.
