Huawei has started delivering the latest November 2021 HarmonyOS security update for the Huawei Mate 40E smartphone. As per the info, this firmware update comes with build version HarmonyOS 2.0.0.212 and rolling out in China.

At present, Huawei has spread its security patch rollout among the devices to protect smartphones against viruses and CVEs. The Mate 40E phone receiving this update are:

  • Huawei Mate 40E
  • Huawei Mate 40E 4G

The last update of Huawei Mate 40E brought new camera modes, fixes the problem of the camera watermark, and optimizes the display interface of the control center. Additionally, it improved the system security and operation experience of the drop-down status bar in the game scenarios.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
