Huawei Mate X2 receiving 2.0.0.212 update with November 2021 security patch

Huawei has started to roll out the latest November 2021 update for its foldable smartphone, Huawei Mate X2. Meanwhile, the Chinese tech maker is also working on the new Mate X2 limited edition, which could launch next month in China.

This new update for Huawei Mate X2 brings the security patch released in November 2021 for improved system security. It fixes different levels of CVE’s found in the system including 2 CVE in the framework, 5 CVE in Kernel, 10 CVE in Applications, and 40 CVE in third-party libraries.

Huawei Mate X2 devices:

  • Huawei Mate X2 4G (TET-AL00)
  • Huawei Mate X2 (TET-AN00)

According to the changelog, this firmware update comes with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.212 and a download package size of 312MB. To be mentioned, this moderate size update contains only security improvements.

Before you upgrade:
