Huawei has released November 2021 security patch details for HarmonyOS operating system-powered mobile devices. This software update patch comes with security improvements and fixes for different kinds of vulnerabilities and data threats that could compromise the HarmonyOS user data.

The November 2021 HarmonyOS mobile security update brings improvements for the HarmonyOS smartphone system security with fixes for 1 medium level of vulnerability. There are a total of 5 medium-level CVE fixed in the Kernel department. 10 CVEs are fixed in the application section of HarmonyOS 2.0.

There are also fixes for third party libraries that are part of this OS and a massive number of 40 CVEs have been detected under this region consisting of High and medium levels vulnerabilities.

Rollout:

Huawei has already started to rollout November 2021 HarmonyOS security patch for various Huawei devices including the top models – Huawei Mate 40 series and others.

The security patch will expand further with the upcoming software releases for the corresponding smartphones.
