Huawei Maimang 9 is the China-exclusive mid-range smartphone launched on July 27, 2020, with a 6.8-inch display, side fingerprint scanner, 64MP triple rear camera, 16MP front camera, EMUI 10.1, and more user impressive features.

Since the launch, Huawei has not delivered any major update for this smartphone and still working well with EMUI 10.1 Android-based operating system.

On the other hand, for a long time, Huawei was preparing to launch a much anticipated HarmonyOS operating system for general smartphones, and finally, the company has unveiled it for the consumers on June 2 event.

Additionally, at the launch conference, the Chinese tech giant announced the HarmonyOS rollout roadmap for devices that will get update throughout 2021-22. Simultaneously, it also started HarmonyOS closed beta campaign for 28 devices including Maimang 9.

Before delivering the stable HarmonyOS version, the testing devices will go through several beta versions. These beta rollouts will bring improvement and bug fixes to solve known issues popping up during beta testing.
