It was reported that Qualcomm has received US approval to supply 5G chipsets for Huawei smartphones but recently, CBG chief, Yu Chengdong has denied this news.

According to Mydrivers, the Huawei Consumer Business Group’s head has denied this report and said that the news of the 5G Qualcomm chipset supply is not accurate. This is a major refusal and clarifies the current state of Qualcomm and Huawei’s supply chain.

There are many people from the industry and the tech community continuously speculating about 5G return in Huawei devices. So far, there’s no official confirmation available on this matter.

The noises on the internet about Huawei 5G via supply resumption and custom 5G modem are spreading like fire. Interestingly, these reports are being refused one after another. Therefore, we need to wait until a concrete announcement comes out.

So, 5G won’t come back to Huawei? That’s an interesting question and only Huawei has the answer.
