On August 24, AVATR launched the Huawei ADS 2.0 version of the AVATR 11 smart car. It comes in four models ranging from 300,000 to 390,000 yuan. The notable upgrade of this new version is the new Huawei ADS 2.0 smart driving system and HarmonyOS 4 powered cockpit. But there are no major changes made in the design of this new vehicle.
The AVATR 11 is equipped with Huawei’s ADS 2.0 intelligent driving assistance system. Compared with ADS 1.0, the most important thing about the new ADS 2.0 is that it has joined the GOD network.
The GOD network improves the ability to identify various objects outside the white list on the basis of the integrated perception BEV (Birds Eye View) network to identify white list obstacles. Even if the vehicle has not been trained for some obstacles, it can still be recognized. For example, it can successfully identify abnormal objects such as tilted vehicles and fallen trees.
Based on the GOD network, the AEB active safety of AVATR 11 has been upgraded to become GAEB. Some media conducted AEB tests on six models in daytime scenarios. AVATR 11 is the only one that can identify Cone buckets, cartons water horses, and brake models.
The average manual takeover mileage has been increased from 100km to 200km, and the vehicle behavior of the surrounding target lanes is monitored and predicted in real-time. In addition, AVATR is the first in the industry to support the high-speed NCA function of ETC toll stations, allowing smart driving for 200km cross-city commuting, and taking over only once.
The Huawei HarmonyOS cockpit equipped AVATR 11 ADS 2.0 version launched with easy interactions. The zero-level design home screen can make the car and infotainment system as easy to operate as a smartphone.
AVATR also integrated the self-developed “scenario world” into the HarmonyOS infotainment. It provides a large number of operation modes, including rest mode, movie viewing mode, karaoke mode, pet mode, car washing mode, and short-term leaving the car mode. The car can cover various scenes of the car used by the car owner so that the hardware of the whole car can be deeply linked with HarmonyOS.
The AVATR 11 HarmonyOS version also has the strongest ecological interconnection functions of Hongmeng OS. These include mirroring mode, privacy mode, and computer mode it includes. The mobile can be seamlessly interconnected with the car, and even the car can be turned into a “vehicle computer” display.
In terms of power, the AVATR 11 HarmonyOS edition has Huawei’s DriveONE high-voltage electric drive system, which supports both single and dual motors. The single motor version has a maximum power of 230kW, a peak torque of 370N m, an acceleration of 6.6s from zero to 100, and the highest cruising range of CLTC. 730km.
The dual-motor version has a maximum power of 425kW, a peak torque of 650N m, an acceleration from zero to zero in 3.9 seconds, and a battery life of up to 700km.
