Honor 9X users receiving October 2020 security update in Europe but no EMUI 10.1

Honor is sending a new software update for Honor 9X users in Europe that brings the security patch released in October 2020, which improves system security and fixes the different levels of exploits and issues.

Last month, Honor has kicked off the November 2020 security patch for Honor 9X users in China that fixes 4 critical and 15 high-levels of CVE’s and enhances the security of the system.

On the other hand, Honor 9X China users are running EMUI 10.1 but global users are still waiting for EMUI 10.1 major update. Honor 9X users will be happy if the company release EMUI 10.1 upgrades.

Version: Honor 9X users getting EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.273 with an update size of 106 MB.

Changelog: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.

HOW TO UPDATE HONOR 9X:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
