Honor 20, 20 Pro, V20 and Magic 2 smartphones receiving new Magic UI 4 beta version

Honor is moving ahead in the Magic UI 4 beta testing program and started sending the second Magic UI 4 beta for Honor 20, 20 Pro, and V20 users as well as the third Magic UI 4 beta for Honor Magic 2 registered users.

This new EMUI 11 beta update brings the new dynamic screen effect and optimizations for MeeTime, display, third-party applications, and fixes some known issues. (details below)

Previously, it was reported Honor has expanded the reach of Magic UI 4 outside of China for Honor 20, 20 Pro, and V20 smartphones. After completion of recruitment, the company will soon release Magic UI 4 beta versions as well as stable Magic UI 4 version.

Magic UI 4 beta Version:

  • Honor 20, 20 Pro, and V20 Pro beta tester getting Magic UI 4 beta version 11.0.0.125 updated from 11.0.0.115.
  • Honor Magic 2 beta tester receiving Magic UI 4 beta version 11.0.0.125 updated from 11.0.0.122.

Note: This update is currently rolling out in China and may differ from the global versions.

What’s new in this update:

For Honor 20 and 20 Pro:

Bright screen dynamic effect: The screen gradually lights up when the screen is turned on to give the eyes time to adapt to the light source.

MeeTime: Optimization display experience of MeeTime.

Display: Optimizes the display effect of the volume bar in some scenes.

System: Fix the problem that some scenes cannot enter the multitasking interface by sliding up from the bottom of the screen.

For Honor V20:

UPDATE INSTRUCTION:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
