HarmonyOS 2.0.0.221 software update available for Huawei MatePad Pro
Huawei MatePad Pro has started grabbing a new HarmonyOS software update that comes with the latest version 2.0.0.221 in china. This update added new features to the stylus and security patch for improved system security.
As per the new information, this firmware update brings a new global annotation function, a one-click extract function, and optimizes the writing experience for a stylus.
Additionally, it installs the December 2021 HarmonyOS security patch that fixes 1 CVE in framework, 2 CVEs in Kernel, 3 CVEs in the system, 3 CVEs in applications, and 62 CVEs in the third-party libraries. After the installation of this update, the overall performance of the system will be optimized.

New Software update details:
Stylus:
- Newly added global annotation function, you can make an annotation on any interface and store the annotation content together
- Added one-click extract function, you can take a screenshot of the area, and drag and drop the note-taking software
- Optimize the writing experience of the stylus.
Security:
- Installs the security patch released in December 2021 for improved system security.
Points to know:
- We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
- Use a stable connection to download the update package.
- Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.

Via Settings:
Open Settings
Click on ‘System & updates’
Click on ‘Software update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’

Open My Huawei app
Click on ‘Update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
Huawei MatePad Pro:
Huawei MatePad Pro is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor and comes with a 10.8 inches IPS LCD display and 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. On the rear side, it has a 13 MP camera and the front camera has an 8 MP camera. The phone’s sensors include Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
The tablet was packed with a 7250 mAh battery and initially runs on Android 10 + EMUI 10. The Huawei MatePad Pro comes in different colors like Gray, White, Green, and Orange. It features a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB On-The-Go.
