Huawei Nova 9 Pro grabbing new optimizations with HarmonyOS 2.0.1.182 update

Huawei Nova 9 Pro smartphone user receiving a new HarmonyOS 2.0.1.182 firmware update in China. This latest HM OS massive size update brings various system feature optimizations that improve the overall performance of the Nova phone.

According to the changelog, the new update comes with optimizations for camera effects, calling feature, and charging experience in some scenarios. However, it arrives with an installation package size of 1.16GB, which is quite big.

On the other hand, Huawei has recently rolled out the November 2021 security patch along with camera improvements for Nova 9 global variant running on the latest EMUI 12 operating system. Read more.

Huawei Nova 9 Pro HarmonyOS 2.0.1.182 update log:

• Camera: Optimizes the photo effect of the camera and the color of the photo is more natural.
• Call: Optimizes the audio effect in the call scenarios and improves the calling experience.
• System: Optimizes the charging experience in some scenarios.

Important Points:

• The device must have a better battery backup to install this update that is a minimum of 50%.
• It’s compulsory to check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per the size required
• A strong WiFi/mobile data connection is required for a buffer-free download of the package.

How to install:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the MY Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.

The Nova 9 Pro features a 6.72-inch OLED display with FHD+ (2676 x 1236) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, center hole-punch design, and curved edges, and a new display fingerprint scanner. It equips a 50MP quad-camera system and dual 32MP selfie camera.

Huawei Nova 9 Pro measures 163.4mm x 74.4mm x 7.97mm and weighs 186g. In terms of battery, it has a 4000mAh battery along with a 100W super fast charge and USB Type-C input. The Nova 9 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor for faster task executions but it only has a 4G LTE model.
