Genshin Impact tops games list on Google Play Store for September 2021

On October 6th, the global app store intelligence firm Sensor Tower published September 2021 mobile app game revenue report, declaring miHoYo’s Genshin Impact as the highest-grossing mobile game.

This first-ever open-world game of miHoYo has recorded $341.7 million in player spending. Furthermore, about 31.6% of the credit goes to China App Stores, 21.7% to the US, and reminds 21% of contribution credit goes to Japanese stores.

Besides, this game has equal popularity among iOS and Android users as it has topped both lists. Now, it has jumped to first place from third and being placed as the top-grossing mobile game for September 2021 defeating Tencent’s Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile games.

Moving ahead, Honor of Kings remains in second place in overall revenue with monthly earnings of about 209 million. China is the major contributor of monthly revenue with 95% (approx) followed by Taiwan with 2%.

Furthermore, the list continues with Tencent’s PUBG Mobile in third, NetEase’s Harry Potter: Magic Awakened in fourth, and King’s Candy Crush Saga in fifth place. In addition, Roblox, Coin Master, Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Garena Free Fire, and Fate Order are also on the list.

App Game Markets:

Aside from this, global payers have jointly sent about $7.3 billion on the top five games. This revenue is derived from both- Google Play Store and Apple App Store in the last month. For your information, Google Play Store isn’t available in China, so players have to rely on other distributor platforms like Huawei App Gallery, and Apple App Store.
