A tipster confirmed to us that the phone is also receiving Smart Charge, the feature helps to reduce battery aging issues. Similar to other phones, the feature is not mentioned in the Changelog

Honor 9X Pro is available in different markets around the globe. The phone comes with a FullView display, pop-up selfie camera, 7nm Kirin 810, and extended 6GB RAM + 256GB storage.

From the software side, it runs the EMUI 9.1 and it’s eligible for the EMUI 10.1. Since Honor is yet to rollout the EMUI 10.1 for this device on the global level. The company has now released the very first update for this new smartphone to improve its system security.

According to the changelog, this new update for Honor 9X Pro comes with security patches released in May 2020. However, the update package doesn’t include any additional improvements.

The May 2020 security update brings Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.


The May 2020 security update for Honor 9X Pro comes with EMUI version and a software package size of 373MB.
