Display, Mail, System and Security enhancements rolling out for Huawei Mate X2 folding phone

EMUI 11 is OS skin that Huawei users wish to install on their respective, but the newly launched Huawei’s next-generation folding devices – Huawei Mate X2 comes pre-installed with the latest EMUI 11.

Now, Huawei is sending a new software update for the Mate X2 smartphone. This update comes with lots of improvements as well as brings the security patch released in March 2021 for improved system security.

After installing this update, users can experience the new improvements in display effect for Huawei Club application, email display, system stability, and security.

On the other hand, Huawei is preparing to launch the HarmonyOS for commercial consumers in the coming days. At the Mate X2 lunch event, it also announced that the first batch of devices, which will install the latest operating system, HarmonyOS includes Mate X2 and more models.

Furthermore, the software chief reiterated his commitment for this year’s aim, which is to install HarmonyOS in 300 million devices, of which the company is targeting to get 200 million done through smartphones.

    EMUI version and size may vary.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

New EMUI 11 version:

  • Huawei Mate X2 smartphone users getting EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.160SP1 from 11.0.0.155SP1

  • Display: Fixes display effect for Huawei Club application support cross-screen display
  • Mail: Fix the issue that emails cannot be displayed in columns in some scenes
  • System: Optimizes the system stability in some scenes
  • Security: Integrates the March 2021 security patch for improved system security

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
