HarmonyOS is opened for global smart device makers because of its open-source nature, the software can enable many capabilities for third-party manufacturers and customize it according to their requirements.

In this segment, a Chinese tablet maker, Cube, has recently posted a Weibo, asking followers an interesting question – “How many friends want Cube to use HarmonyOS”. This reflects that the company is keen on making a new tablet powered by HarmonyOS.

OpenHarmony is an open-source project of HarmonyOS and It is donated by Huawei to OpenAtom Foundation. The project is managed by OpenHarmony Project Group Committee.

This means any developer or interested person can fetch the OpenHarmony project and start developing from the existing project. This is very helpful for other companies to start making devices with HarmonyOS.
