A new EMUI update for P30 and P30 Pro optimizes camera, call, in-screen fingerprint, security and more

Huawei is rolling a new update for its flagship devices P30 and P30 Pro that brings improvement to photo quality, display, Calling, AR Measure and a new Security patch.

Here’s the list of eligible devices that will get the EMUI 10/Android 10 Q [Updated]

The update for P30 and P30 pro is coming with EMUI version 9.1.0.162 and weighs at 329MB, We’ve confirmed that this update rolling out in China and may reach out to other countries anytime soon.

Supported Models are the followings:

Huawei P30 – ELE-AL00
Huawei P30 – ELE-TL00
Huawei P30 Pro – VOG-AL00/VOG-AL10
Huawei P30 Pro – VOG-TL00



If you want to check for the update manually you can do this to follow the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

ChangeLog of P30:

Camera: Improves photo quality, making colors appear more natural and authentic Fixes the abnormal display of videos recorded by the front camera. Adds the option to enroll a second face.

Face Unlock: Added feature to add an alternative/second face identification option.

Display: Allows for messages and notifications to display on a locked screen with live wallpaper.

Call: Optimizes the VOLTE voice calling experience for certain scenarios WeChat: Fixes the issue of WeChat notifications not working in certain scenarios.

Security: The update includes May 2019 security patch for improved system security.
