Huawei P30 Lite users begin receiving February 2021 security update

For the last five consecutive months, Huawei is sending regular monthly software updates for P30 Lite smartphones. However, this device is part of the quarterly update section.

Now, Huawei has begun delivering a new software update for the P30 Lite smartphone. This update mainly comes with security notes released in February 2021, which improve system security and boost overall device performance.

At the moment, Huawei is simultaneously releasing the EMUI 11 major upgrades for selected devices alongside monthly security improvements.

Talking about P30 Lite, currently, it is running on EMUI 10, and no confirmation available on further major updates. Still, the device is performing very well.

Before you upgrade:

1. We recommend you take a backup of your important data
2. Use a stable connection to download the update package
3. Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started

February 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical and 26 high levels, and 77 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings
• Click on the System & Updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

• Open the Support app on your device
• Go to the Service tab
• Click on the update button
• Tap on Check for update option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device
