WhatsApp may soon let you manage third-party chats
WhatsApp continues to drop new features for Android and iOS devices and in the latest edition, the company is working on a new ‘manage third-party chats’ option. From the name, you would soon be able to turn off conversations on other apps.
So far, WhatsApp is exploring ways for third-party chat support that can enable its customers to send and receive texts from other apps. Now it seems the company is adding some more facilities to this concept via a significant functionality.
According to the details, WhatsApp kicked off a new Android 2.24.6.2 beta version which showcases the feature to manage your third-party chats. Notably, the feature complies with the latest EU regulations for better control of data sharing.
Eventually, the option will highlight certain applications where you often chat with your friends, and enable you to turn them off at any time. It is useful when you don’t want to run the interoperability service and keep apps out of integration.

In simple words, you can selectively choose which third-party app can link with WhatsApp for a customized experience. Moreover, you have the option to turn off the third-party chat integration at your convenience.
It is worth mentioning that turning off the respective feature won’t allow you to send or receive texts in third-party chats via WhatsApp. Although you would still be able to read the messages, without any interruption.
WhatsApp is currently rolling out the ‘manage third-party chats’ feature to some Android beta testers from the Google Play Beta Program. Hence, you need to wait for an official release to fetch the capability as a general consumer.
