WhatsApp beta for Android is testing a new community poll feature for announcement channels, which was much awaited by the users. This feature is enabled for some WhatsApp beta testers previously but now it’s preparing for a wider test.

Wabetainfo notes that the feature currently has some limitations including a minimum channel member base. It includes a minimum of 1024 participants.

Polls are an essential way to interact with group members and take their opinions on various matters. It also helps to take a solid decision with click friendly Yes or No interface or any other preference that the user wants to set.

Interestingly, the feature also supports keeping your privacy private and doesn’t reveal your phone number to other group members.

Currently, the poll feature for announcement channels remains in beta mode and it may come to public WhatsApp users with stable release.
