Huawei is working to expand the reach of HarmonyOS 2 in China and the company is also rolling out security patches to protect existing Huawei devices with the EMUI software systems.

But recently, a nasty EMUI 10.1 bug has hit some of the Huawei Nova 7i users, which has scrambled the user interface as well as some of the features.

According to the information, the user cannot access or enable or disable quick setting switches. Once enabled, the switch remains enabled even after tapping on a certain switch.

Furthermore, some of the services icons such as location freezes on the taskbar. Now let’s come to the major issue that is spotted on this software system and comes in the form of UI clampdown.

Once the user tries to swipe left or right to the home screen, the UI clamps down in half of the certain widgets. This has been a big concern and disappointment for the users who are dealing with such issues.

According to the people who reported this bug to us, the above-mentioned problems appeared after the recent security patch rollout and we may require to wait to get a good solution on this matter.

Launched last year, Huawei EMUI 10.1 comes with a number of new features and improvements to the system UI, which includes the new always-on display and soft animations.

Yet, Huawei didn’t provide further software support even the Nova 7i is able to run the latest EMUI version – EMUI 11. On the other hand, the Chinese variant of Nova 7i, Huawei nova 6 SE is declared as HarmonyOS 2 compatible and its users are currently taking part in the beta activity.
