Within 15 days of its release, Huawei P50 standard variant start receiving the first software update. Initially, the P50 comes with pre-installed HarmonyOS 2.0.1 version 155 (C00E150R3P6) that made its official debut on 29th September 2021.

At present, this model is limited to Chinese consumers and making them experience the flagship features of this smartphone. Besides, Huawei hasn’t provided any official words regarding its global launch. Yet, we are following every news closely and let you know about the expansion of the availability of this camera flagship.

Coming back to the first update, it contains two update packages, that have brought system optimizations. Furthermore, it’ll further enhance the AI photography effect for an improved video recording experience. In addition, the system optimization includes stability, operational fluency, and vibration effect.

Meanwhile, audio improvement for some situations and comes with the second package to let you enjoy the immersive sound effects. However, there isn’t any security patch included in this firmware. Below you can check the changelog details.

Standard Huawei P50 Update Changelog:

Update Version: 

  • This update will shift the Standard Huawei P50 HarmonyOS version on 2.0.1.165 from 2.0.1.163

Update Package 1:

  • Camera: Optimized AI photography photographic effect under masters such as the video shooting experience in some situations
  • System: Optimize system stability, operational fluency, and vibration effect in some situations

Update Package 2: 

  • This update optimizes the audio effects of some situations

About Huawei P50:

The standard Huawei P50 is designed with a 6.5-inch OLED display producing 2700 x 1224p resolution. Furthermore, it offers 1.07 billion colors, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 1440Hz high frame rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Moving to the hardware, the system is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 processor shipped with the HarmonyOS 2.1. In addition, the smartphone features a 4100mAH battery that supports 66W SuperCharge. However, its main highlight is the camera design and proficiency. Things to be Remember:

  1. This is a staged rollout, it may be possible that you haven’t received it yet
  2. Install the update as soon it reaches your device.
  3. Don’t disturb the update installation process and use a storage WiFi network.
  4. Don’t forget to restart your device once the installation process is complete.
  5. The user data will be safe during the update process but an advance backup is recommended.
