In January 2022, OnePlus has released the latest model- OnePlus 10 Pro powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Now, the reports disclose that the company is working on a device, which could be a standard OnePlus 10.

Besides new launching, several existing OnePlus smartphone users have posted freezing issue while sharing pictures in Gallery on the community. For a long time, the users are going through this OnePlus Gallery issue and waiting for the release of a permanent fix to this problem.

In the OnePlus community, there are over 100 threats regarding this issue, which is really very annoying for the OnePlus users. Meanwhile, some users have switched to Google Photos from OnePlus Gallery for a better user experience.

However, some users replied that this issue is not tied to OnePlus Gallery or OS. It is related to the Messages app that why finding the root cause is taking time. In the meantime, OnePlus consumers are posting different opinions on this issue.

OnePlus Freezing issue

After receiving the bulk of threads on the freezing issue, the OnePlus team members have started troubleshooting and working to resolve it as soon as a possible mentions community moderator.

  2. Click ‘Uninstall’ to uninstall all updates and return this system app to an older version.
  3. Ensure auto-update is disabled, by pressing the three-dot menu button on the top right corner.

Alternatively,

  1. Go to Google Play Store, click your account
  2. Tap Manage apps & device
  3. Tap Manage
  4. Find the Messages app in the list
  5. Click ‘Uninstall’ to uninstall all updates and return this system app to an older version.
  6. Ensure auto-update is disabled, by pressing the three-dot menu button on the top right corner.

Note: When the app has the issue fixed, you can re-enable auto-update.
