New system and app improvements rolling out for Huawei Nova 5i Pro and 5z

Huawei is still busy upgrading EMUI 11 custom skin on the compatible devices in the global market. Meanwhile, the HarmonyOS developer beta 3 rollout is also approaching as the company is determined to upgrade its flagship on HarmonyOS this year.

In the meantime, Huawei has begun delivering a new firmware version along with the latest changelog for Nova 5i Pro and 5z smartphones. The update didn’t bring any security improvements but offers the new system and application changes for the users.

After installing this update, users will be able to experience smart information setting items and Education Center as well as Link Now applications.

To be mentioned, Huawei Nova 5 series’s one model, Nova 5T smartphone is getting stable EMUI 11 software built in the different market including the UK and Europe.

Note:

• The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.

New EMUI update version:

• Huawei Nova 5z and 5i Pro users are getting EMUI 10.1.0.99 software updated from EMUI 10.1.0.98.

Update log:

• System: Added smart information setting item, after it is turned on, it can intelligently identify the content of text messages and provide you with more convenient services.
• Apps: Added Education Center and Link Now desktop applications.

There are two ways that you can download this latest software update, both of these areas the following:

VIA SETTINGS:

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on System & updates
3. Tap Software update
4. Tap Check for Updates
5. Download and Install
6. Install

After the installation and restart, we recommend you let the system optimize the new application so your device can run smoothly on further commands.

You can also request this update via the Support app with the following instructions.
