New Huawei powered Luxeed S7 catches 10,000 pre-orders

On November 9, Huawei announced a new electric sedan, the Luxeed S7 under the new smart collaborative brand, and today, the company reported above 10,000 pre-orders.

According to the official details, the Luxeed S7 car pre-selling at 258,000 yuan (about 35,360 USD). People who pre-order this sedan are entitled to receive a 40,000 yuan discount before November 28th.

The latest announcement appears to be a huge response for this new smart car brand between Huawei and China’s automaker, Chery.

In terms of looks, the Luxeed S7 focuses on luxury design and it draws position into a pure electric coupe. The car expands at 4971 x 1963 x 1474mm and the wheelbase is 2950mm. The car adopts the OneBox design and has a comfortable internal space over the Mercedes-Benz E-Call, Tesla Model S, and Porsche Taycan.

Importantly, the new car has HarmonyOS powered Smart Cockpit with HarmonyOS 4.0 software. There are plenty of smart driving options available as well as 3D car control.

That’s not it, Luxeed S7 sports Huawei’s Automatic Driving System 2.0, which provides support in special obstacles and blends into the road condition. It also has an independent route selection technology as well as an autonomous parking system.

Under the hood, the car packs a DriveOne 800V high-voltage silicon carbide gold power battery. The motor has a maximum speed of 22,000rpm. The total power of the four-wheel drive variant is 365kW, which can accelerate 0-100 kilometers in 3.3 seconds.
