New camera, sound and system improvements rolling for Huawei Mate 40 series

Huawei Mate 40 series is Huawei’s annual flagship series launched on 22 October at an online global launch conference. These devices come with pre-installed EMUI 11. After the launch, the company is continuously sending new EMUI 11 upgrades to the Mate 40 series.

Previously, EMUI 11 update brings new artistic themes, optimizations for the camera, audio effect, and improvement for system stability. Last week, Huawei has released the EMUI 11 software update for the Huawei Mate 40 series with version EMUI 11.0.0.125 SP5 Patch 02 that doesn’t bring any changes to the system.

Now, Huawei is sending a new EMUI 11 update for Huawei Mate 40 Pro,  Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design users in China. This update brought optimizations for the camera, sound effect, knuckle gestures, and improvements for system stability.

EMUI VERSION:

Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS receiving an update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.130 SP1 from 11.0.0.125 with an update size 787MB. Currently, this update is rolling out in China.

Camera:

  • Optimizes the photo effect in some scenes
  • Optimizes the anti-shake function
  • Improves the video recording experience
  • Optimizes the photo performance and stability

Sound:

Changelog for Huawei Mate 40 Pro+/RS Porsche Design:

Camera:

  • Optimizes the photo effect of some scenes and provide more natural colors to the photo
  • Optimizes the anti-shake function to enhance the video recording experience
  • Optimizes camera performance and stability

Sound:

  • Optimizes the sound experience and stability

Knuckles: 

  • Optimizes the fluency of knuckle gesture

System:

  • Optimizes the system stability

Note:

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • The update will not erase your data.
