March 2021 security and MeeTime optimization rolling out for Huawei P40 Pro in Europe

In mid-April, Huawei has begun sending a new software update for the P40 series, which installs the security patch released in March 2021 for improved system security.

So far, Huawei has expanded this security update for the P40 Pro smartphone in Europe and Australia and soon reached more markets. It fixes 2 critical, 13 high, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

According to the latest information, one of the P40 Pro users from Europe reached us and send a screenshot of the latest update received by him. The changelog shows that alongside March 2021 security improvements and also bring optimization for MeeTime interaction with other external devices.

One thing worth mentioning, MeeTime is only available in some countries and regions. Besides HD voice and video calls, MeeTime also allows users to send encrypted messages and animated emojis, skip forward and backward when playing voice messages, and send groups of images in one go.

After installing this update, the user’s experience will be improved as well as increase the device’s capability to fight against the CVEs and threats.

Before you upgrade:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on System & updates
  3. Tap Software update
  4. Tap Check for Updates
  5. Download and Install
  6. Install

After the installation and restart, we recommend you let the system optimize the new application so your device can run smoothly on further commands.

  1. Open the Support app

  3. Tap on Update
