Honor has started the MagicOS 8.0 (Android 14) public beta recruitment for the top-end models Magic 5 and Magic 4 series. The respective phone holders can take part in the latest beta activity to explore numerous features ahead of the stable version release.

According to the information, Honor has opened this beta program without any slot limit. However, there is no specific time to push out the new beta build. It means you need to wait for a few days to receive the new MagicOS 8.0 firmware.

On the flip side, the official input mentions that some third-party applications may not be compatible with the major upgrade and could result in app crashes, lags, power consumption, and other issues. Hence, ensure to update all the apps to their latest versions.

It is worth noting that Honor Magic 4 and Magic 5 series users should have the baseline versions 7.0.0.172 and 7.1.0.187, respectively to download the MagicOS 8.0 public beta without any failure. Also, keep at least 8GB of free storage and 40% of the battery level to conduct the installation smoothly.

Note that some of these features may remain absent in the initial beta builds. But don’t worry as you will get the chance to experience them with the upcoming versions.
