Leak indicates a new flagship Huawei Kirin chip coming soon
Huawei is not only readying new notebooks, tablets, or phones but also has a flagship Kirin chip in the background. A recent input on this matter says that the Chinese tech giant began speeding up the development of an uncertain high-end processor.
Weibo tech-savvy @DigitalChatStation says that Huawei gears up the development of a new flagship Kirin chip. The respective processor is in the pipeline and could show up soon on the consumer platform with exciting parameters and capabilities.
It is unclear which Kirin chipset is the tipster talking about as in the past few months, many of Huawei’s self-developed processor revelations have hit the ground.
One of them is an alleged 5nm chipset which has been spotted online along with its specs sheet. Although it doesn’t carry a name, some of the netizens predicted that it might be the successor of the Huawei Kirin 9000s processor, named Kirin 9010.

The respective chip’s specs show that it belongs to the SMIC foundry and exhibits 5.2 watts and 12.4 watts for single-core load and multi-core load respectively. You can check the internal parameters as well as the Geekbench scores of this chip HERE.
New NPU and Structures:
Other revelations hint that the tech maker is working on advanced NPU solutions and a 64-bit core structure for the upcoming Kirin chips. The former may contribute to better neural network operations for better machine learning and efficient AI tasks.
The latter, on the other hand, might make Huawei’s next-gen chip equivalent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 capabilities with powerful performance and stability.
For some time, Huawei stopped promoting its processors at the launch stage or even in the specs listing on the official site. A reason behind this action could be to avoid interference by external factors in the development of its self-made processors.
The release time of this new flagship Huawei Kirin chip is uncertain for the moment. Although we may bump into more details on this subject in the time ahead.
