Huawei Mate 30 lineup was launched in 2019 with pre-installed EMUI 10, powered by HiSilicon Kirin processor and more. However, this series is compatible to run EMUI 11 or above upgrades.

Since September 2020, Huawei has started EMUI 11 beta testing for its various eligible devices. The first beta test was performed on Mate 30 and P40 series and followed by the MatePade Pro and Pro 5G in china.

In November 2020, Huawei closed the EMUI 11 testing program for Mate 30, P40, and MatePad series by upgrading these devices on stable EMUI 11 versions via OTA update. Meanwhile, Mate 30 global variants also received the official EMUI 11 in December 2020.

The new features of EMUI 11 include the artistic Always on Display designs and clock themes, improved multi-window mode, smoother UI animations, better multi-screen collaboration, and more.

Now, Huawei has begun released a new software update for the Mate 30 smartphones. This update mainly installs the January 2021 security patch that protects your device against threats.

On the other hand, the Mate 30 Pro global users recently grabbed the January 2021 security update that improves the system security as well as fixes different levels of exploits and issues.
