New system improvements have started making their way towards the premium smartwatch, Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro in the global market. However, Huawei has already delivered this update to Watch GT 2 Pro last month in China.

According to the information, Huawei is releasing a new firmware upgrade with version 11.0.5.32. To be mentioned, this update brings improvements inside a firmware package size 78.97MB.

The Watch GT 2 Pro users can upgrade to this latest version by following the instruction mentioned at the end of the article. After installation, they will surely experience the optimized speed of the watch.

How to update:

  • Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app,
  • Open the app
  • Tap on Devices and select the device name
  • Choose firmware update
  • Then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.

NOTE:

  1. The update progress in the app is just for transferring the update package, it still needs to be installed on the watch for the update to complete.
  2. The watch needs to have at least a 20% battery to update.
  3. Make sure the Bluetooth connection is stable during the update. Try again if the update fails.

Will Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is eligible to upgrade over HarmonyOS?

On June 2, Huawei has launched the first smartwatch series with pre-installed HarmonyOS 2.0 – Huawei Watch 3. Now, the questions started arriving in the previously launched Huawei watch owners. Will they get HarmonyOS 2 upgrades or not?

A previous report suggests that Huawei Watch GT 2 Series will get the HarmonyOS 2.0 system update. Still, HarmonyOS beta is only started for the smartphone and tablet section in China. Currently, there’s no roadmap or announcement that has been made in the account of the Huawei smartwatches and their upgrade over the latest operating system.
