Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2e new update brings GPS improvements, fixes, and more

Huawei rolling out new firmware updates for Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2e, these new brings improvements for system stability and fixes for bugs and issues.

Last month, Huawei sent a September update for Watch GT 2 that brought new features such as quickly accessing your favorite features in the settings, provide more accurate data, added new language support, and more.

2. Improves GPS performance
3. Fixes some known issues

This latest update for Watch GT 2e comes with firmware version 1.0.5.30 and an update package size of 17.43MB.

Huawei Watch GT 2 receiving this update with firmware version 1.0.9.58 and a software size of 18.41MB.

Note: The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach out to your wearables.

A few things to know before the update:

1. The update progress in the app is just for transferring the update package, it still needs to be installed on the watch for the update to complete.
2. The watch needs to have at least 20% battery to update.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.
