Later last month, Huawei began to enroll testers for the Watch GT 2 42mm and now, the company has finally begun to send the corresponding new beta update password lock feature for the Watch GT 2 42mm version.
According to the information, the Huawei Watch GT 2 42mm version’s first beta software update with password lock feature comes with a bunch of new features and a firmware version 220.127.116.11 upgrading from 18.104.22.168.
This rollout is currently released in China for 400 users that participated in the beta activity later last September. Thereafter, the selected beta testers can download and install this firmware update enjoy the latest additions before it’s released in public.
The Watch GT 2 42mm version first beta brings a new lock screen password feature, better sports features as well as health optimizations for female consumers.

Safety: Added lock screen password feature to enhance device security
Sports: Added sunrise and sunset display for outdoor sports. The pace zone can be displayed during running to help you exercise scientifically. It can be linked with the three-party data of Huawei mobile phones and sports equipment.
You can keep the screen always on during exercise, which is convenient for viewing real-time exercise data (opening method: Settings>>Exercise Settings>>Screen always on)
Healthy: Enhanced menstrual cycle function, can manually record the cycle through the watch.
For your information, this update is only available for the beta testers of the corresponding activity initiated in China. Therefore, it’s not confirmed to rollout in the global market.
How to check for updates:
You need to connect the Watch GT 2 Pro to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.

Today, Huawei has also released the second beta software update for the Watch GT 2 46mm version in China. This mainly focuses to improve the smartwatch in terms of system stability and provide you with faster performance.
5 year old Huawei mid-ranger gets new EMUI features
Huawei is rolling out new software updates for one of its 5 year old mid-ranger with a number of new features. It’s good to see those old smartphones are not completely cut off from new optimizations and Huawei is still sending new tweaks.
The 5 year mid-ranger that we’re talking about is the Huawei Enjoy 7s. And it runs EMUI 9.1. Alongside, Huawei is sharing a new software update for another veteran, Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus, also known as Huawei Y9 2018.
These two phones are well received by Huawei consumers and now getting new add-ons. According to the changelog, Huawei is sending EMUI 22.214.171.124 (from EMUI 126.96.36.199) for the following models:

- Enjoy 7S FIG-TL00
- Enjoy 7S FIG-TL10
On the other hand, Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus getting EMUI 188.8.131.52 (from EMUI 184.108.40.206) for the below-mentioned models:
- Enjoy 8 Plus FLA-AL10
- Enjoy 8 Plus FLA-AL20
- Enjoy 8 Plus FLA-TL10
What does it bring?
The changelog reveals that there are new changes in the application section such as the new Petal Light Tour app. Users will have to tap on the app icon to download the app on their smartphones.
You should know that the app download will begin only if you tap the app icon. Furthermore, this two Huawei mid-ranger are getting their EMUI security features improved with a February 2022 security patch.
Previously, Huawei Enjoy 9e received a similar update for a better user experience. However, we cannot configure whether the same firmware is planned to rollout for the global variants.

Huawei P30 Lite November 2022 update rolling out
Huawei is rolling out the November 2022 software update for the P30 lite smartphone in the global market. On the other hand, the company is sending this software update to improve the phone’s security aspect.
For now, the update has been spotted in the European region but may soon reach other markets. It’s come to know that the Huawei P30 Lite November 2022 software update has EMUI version 220.127.116.11 and a package size of over 250 megabytes.

The changelog doesn’t include any other improvements for the smartphone than the security patch. However, P30 lite users are anticipating EMUI 13 but Huawei has not revealed rollout dates for past devices.

Huawei Enjoy 50 receives HarmonyOS 18.104.22.168
According to the changelog, HarmonyOS 22.214.171.124 update for Huawei Enjoy 50 is fetching new system stability improvements along with better performance. Yet, users first have to download HarmonyOS 126.96.36.199 to upgrade to the latest version.
Recently, Huawei also sent EMUI 188.8.131.521 for Enjoy 9e with a number of new additions. The upgrade is released during the rollout for Enjoy 50.

In June, Huawei Enjoy 50 launched with a 6.75-inch screen size, 16.7 million colors, TFT LCD type, and HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels).
