Huawei Says: No plans to enter taxi car market

Huawei continues collaborating with a Chinese automaker, Changan Auto to make new cars and the company recently denied news of entering the taxi car market.

A leaked internal document is spotted online, which suggests that Huawei has plans to develop a taxi for the Shenzhen market on top of the Aito Wenjie M5 EV.

The information suggests that the taxi industry solution will be integrated with the new car smart driving solution. Functions such as check-in/sign-in, trip pricing, dispute event recording, and voice broadcast will also be launched with this solution.

Moreover, this new Huawei Taxi solution integrates the smart features of the whole vehicle and borrows the existing hardware to increase its capability.

On this exposure of information, a Huawei representative denied the rumor and said that the Chinese tech maker has no such plans to enter the commercial taxi car business.
