Huawei Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition May 2022 update

Huawei has dispatched the May 2022 update for the Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition smartphone. The update accompanies a fresh security patch for the smartphone that roots in the HarmonyOS software.

The Nova 8 SE Vitality Edition is a China-exclusive smartphone. Hence, the update is only rolling out to Chinese consumers at the moment. Further, the updated version has shifted from HarmonyOS 2.0.0.232 to HarmonyOS 2.0.0.234. Therefore, to install the latest update, the users must have the baseline version 2.0.0.232.

Changelog

  • Version Update: 2.0.0.232 > 2.0.0.234
  • Security: Incorporate the May 2022 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system

The changelog doesn’t have much to show us and has not mentioned any other changes made to the system. More information about the update instructions and notes is linked below.

Update Notes

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.
  • Use a suitable Wi-Fi connection to install the firmware instead of a regular mobile data pack.
  • After the upgrade, the system performs self-optimization and adaption, hence overheating and freezing are normal.
