Huawei Nova 5z January 2022 update

Huawei is sending a January 2022 HarmonyOS software update for the Huawei Nova 5z smartphone. This update prioritizes the installation of the latest security improvements for better system security.

Huawei Nova 5z January 2022 update arrives HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.211, which is a follow-up version of 2.0.0.210. According to the changelog, the January 2022 security patch fixes 4 CVEs in framework, 10 CVEs in system, and 5 CVEs in the application as well as 111 CVEs in the third-party libraries.

Aside from security improvements, this update doesn’t bring any specific changes made to the system. Meanwhile, this firmware version upgraded the software system of Huawei Nova 5z to increase productivity in terms of performance.

On the other hand, Huawei has also recently delivered January 2022 HarmonyOS security update for more models belonging to Nova 5 series that include Nova 5, 5 Pro, 5i, and 5i Pro in China. Read more

Update steps:

Huawei Nova 5z users can check and download the update manually by heading towards the phone’s Settings, then tap on system & updates, open software updates, and from here select CHECK FOR UPDATES. If an update appears on your smartphone, tap on the download and install option. Keep patience, while the update package is downloading.

On the other hand, users can also request the update through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, go to update, and follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade over the latest firmware version.
