Honor Play 3 smartphone has started receiving a new HarmonyOS software update that mainly installs the December 2021 security patch to increase overall device security. According to information, this update comes with the latest HM OS version 2.0.0.212 in China.

With the December 2021 security patch, Huawei provides fixes for 1 CVE in framework, 2 CVEs in Kernel, 3 CVEs in the system, 3 CVEs in applications, and 62 CVEs in the third-party libraries.

  • Changelog: Installs the December 2021 security patch for better system security.

How to update:

To update Honor Play 3 over the latest version, open the Settings, click on System & Updates, then tap on Software Updates. Afterward, tap on check for updates and wait for seconds while your device is connecting to the server and checking for updates.

If an update seems on the device, tap on the download option and stay tuned while the update package is downloading. During the timeline, make sure that your device data connection will not be lost.

Also, keep sufficient storage space on the smartphone for the update package. Once the downloading is over, tap on the install button and wait for the completion of the installation process. In between this, do not forcefully switch off or reboot your smartphone.
