Huawei Nova 5 March 2022 update

Huawei has released the March 2022 software update for Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones that brings a bunch of new features and optimizations. In addition, it also installs the March 2022 security patch that protects the device against threats.

Both Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro users can identify the March 2022 HarmonyOS software update with build number 2.0.0.230/231 upgraded from 2.0.0.212/213. However, this update is rolling in the Chinese market.

By looking at the changelog, we have found that it contains new devices support for the Super Device feature, optimizes the mistouch prevention in gaming, and adds quick app download icons and Senior mode settings for easier management.

Additionally, it includes the March 2022 security improvements that resolve over 35 CVEs found in the latest HarmonyOS software system. So guys, grab the update now and enjoy the improved user experience.

  • Super Device: Added support for connecting with some Huawei watches, bands, and MateView, which can easily support the new multi-screen collaboration capabilities.
  • Games: Optimizes the user experience with Mistouch prevention in gaming situations.
  • Security: Integrates security patches released in March 2022 for improved system security.
  • Apps: Adds the quick download icon for popular apps.
  • Settings: Adds the Senior mode settings screen for easier management of settings that seniors may find useful, including larger font size and a longer touch response time.

There are two ways to update a Huawei smartphone and both are mentioned below:

Via Settings, open the phone’s settings, tap on system & updates, tap on software updates, and followed by CHECK FOR UPDATES. Once the new update is found, tap on the download and install option.

Via My Huawei app, Go to My Huawei app, tap on the support section, and from here, click on the updates icon. Now, you will be redirected to the update page, tap on download and install.
