The continuous expansion of the HarmonyOS is on its way and more of the eligible devices are adopting this new operating system. According to the info, the Huawei MediaPad M6 series with HarmonyOS have begun to receive a new update in China.

The latest software update for the Huawei MediaPad M6 rolling out in batches and is available for the following models.

  • Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 inch
  • Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8 inch
  • Huawei MediaPad M6 Turbo Edition

What’s New:

In the Super Device settings, this update adds a bunch of device control options to handle multiple devices. It also brings support for Huawei FreeBuds 4 to increase or reduce the smartphone sound seamlessly.

Furthermore, the firmware optimizes the display interface of the control panel and improves the drop-down status bar functionality when you swipe down during a game. Lastly, this new firmware also installs the latest security improvements to protect the device against threats.

The MediaPad Pro 10.8 is the latest tablet of this lineup comes with a 10.8-inch display. It is powered by Kirin 980 SoC and paired with 4GB/6GB RAM along with 64Gb/128GB/256GB of RAM. This tablet comes pre-installed with EMUI 10 based on Android 10.

Whereas, the MediaPad 8.4 was launched in 2019 and sports an 8.4-inch display with the same Kirin chipset. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options. The device is packed with a 6100mAh battery with fast charging support.

According to the latest information, non-Huawei HarmonyOS operating system phones are currently in planning in the launch pipeline. That’s not it, well know companies and device manufacturers are planning to launch new HarmonyOS devices.

Huawei is preparing to launch the Nova 10 and Mate 50 series devices in the coming months and there are a bunch of other devices that will be based on the HarmonyOS operating system. Huawei is continuously promoting HarmonyOS on its devices and working to improve the user experience.

The Chinese tech maker is working to launch HarmonyOS 3.0 version for the consumers and already started testing the beta version for many of the devices.

However, the industry can utilize the open-source OpenHarmony 3.0 project to make it the base of their software.

Earlier this month, OpenHarmony 3.2 Beta 1 launched with new features for the developers. That has better capabilities as well as enhanced compatibility for more devices.

Unveiled in 2019, HarmonyOS is a multi-kernel operating system, the company first introduced this software for smart TVs. At HDC 2022, Huawei massively opened this software for major consumer-based platforms including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, in-car systems, IoT devices, and the least possible RAM or memory devices with up to 128kb of processing power.
