Huawei Developer Conference 2019: Schedule, Activities, Announcements and More

Huawei is expected to announce the availability of the Huawei’s foldable phone Mate X but shipment of the phone seems to stick in September to compete against Samsung’ Galaxy Fold, while the Mate X is expected to debut with the price tag of 9999 yuan (around $1440), told industry sources.

In our perspective, the price of the device is too low compared to the original price at 2299 euro (over $2500), adding speculation that there may be a low spec variant. While the phone was originally announced with 8GB RAM + 512GB storage and expected to go on with 12GB RAM rather than fewer specs but nothing is certain at the moment.

On July 26, He Gang, President of Huawei Smartphone Product Division told media that Huawei Mate X is still being optimized for perfect use and will be released without acquiring the company’s quality measurements.

He also said the process of optimization involves new features, new design methods and more to solve difficulties, problems, and challenges for various scenarios, which the company has not aware of before.

Currently, Huawei has not confirmed any such announcement to be made at HDC 2019 and we’re just a few days away from the developer conference to find out ourselves if the Mate X appears at the event.
