Huawei Mate X 2 to launch in the second half of 2020

This year, Huawei launched its first foldable smartphone – Huawei Mate X 5G, that’ll receive an upgrade with Kirin 990 in March 2020 and in the midst of this discussion now we’ve also got some information on the next Mate X too.

Huawei is reportedly planning to launch its next-gen Mate X foldable smartphone in the Second half of 2020, says sources from Taiwan’s supply chain makers to Digitimes.

The Chinese tech giant with suppliers has begun trial production for important components including hinges and panels required for the next Mate X.

With the expansion of the foldable smartphone market, hinge makers in Taiwan seeing the promising potential in this segment and initiated a capacity manufacturing under new protects.

“Hinge specialist Jarllytec has revealed that it plans to install more batch furnaces in 2020 for the production of metal injection molding (MIM) parts for foldable smartphones and other devices,” Says Source.

Currently, there’s no specs or hardware information available on this upcoming Mate X smartphone but we could at least expect it to be different from the first-gen devices.
