Huawei Mate 60 GTS to bring red color variant, similar to this one

This year, Huawei Mate 60 Series could bring a new member “Mate 60 GTS”. And a concept render shows how the phone would possibly look in a new red color.

The render has a dual-tone color body. It covers the upper part in Red and the bottom in black. It’s expected that Huawei Mate 60 GTS will equip this look for its red variant.

Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design was the last Mate series model with red color option. The phone has a black strip in the center including the camera module and branding. But the left and right sides contain red leather strips. Many of the consumers praised this unique design. Afterward, Huawei not reflected this type of appearance but the upcoming 60 GTS could bring it back.

It is possible that the new model to use red ceramics for the top part. For a subtle effect, it may have texture. Meanwhile, the bottom part is likely to be made of leather for a good grip and better feel.

A report suggests that the Huawei Mate 60 series will adopt the new pill shape front camera and contain a 3D facial recognition system and a front camera. This new change will not only be aesthetical but also functional because Huawei will add software features to make it look interactive.

Trademark:

Back in January, Huawei registered a bunch of Mate series trademarks consisting of Mate 60 GTS and Mate 60 RS models. The “GTS” model is entirely new to the Mate Series and the trademark shows that Huawei planned to keep it for a long time. However, Huawei has not launched any of the GTS-labeled devices.

It’s suggested that Huawei Mate 60 GTS could replace the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ for the main lineup. On the other hand, Huawei Mate 60 RS Porsche Design will be announced as usual.

For now, Huawei has not announced a launch date for this new flagship but we can expect it to come near September or October.
