Huawei has started releasing December 2021 software update for Huawei Mate 40 Pro 4G smartphone. This latest firmware update consisted of various improvements for the system including the latest security patch, optimizations for system and Bluetooth connectivity as well as added new editing feature in Gallery.

As per the information, the new firmware update for Huawei Mate 40 Pro 4G smartphone installs the upgraded HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.219 in China. The users who want to download and install this update to experience the enhancements in the system need the base HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.209.

Recently, the Chinese tech maker has delivered the same changes for Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro (5G), Mate 40 Pro Plus, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design. To be mentioned, the Mate 40 series models didn’t receive Bluetooth optimizations with a new update.

Latest version:

  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro 4G smartphone grabbing HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.219 upgraded from 2.0.0.209 in China.

Changelog:

  • Gallery: Added an elimination function in the “More” of the editor. When editing a picture, it can eliminate small defects on the simple background and make the picture more perfect.
  • Smart multi-window: Optimize the user experience of smart multi-window
  • Bluetooth: Optimize compatibility with some Bluetooth headsets
  • System: Optimize system stability in some scenarios
  • Security: Incorporate security patches in December 2021 to enhance mobile phone system security

Before you upgrade:

  1. We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
  2. Use a stable connection to download the update package.
  3. Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.

HOW TO INSTALL:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
